The Helicopter Museum – Weston super Mare
The award-winning Helicopter Museum holds over 100 rotary wing aircraft gathered from all over the world representing a wide spectrum of technologies. Visitor favourites include two of the Queen’s Royal Flight helicopters, the current world speed record holder G-LYNX (400 km per hour), a Vietnam Veteran Huey, a Russian Hind Gunship and much more.

The Royal Navy Museum, Naval Aviation – Yeovilton
Home to more than 90 aircraft and 30,000 artefacts you can experience Europe’s greatest naval aviation collection.
The Aircraft Carrier Experience at what was called the Fleet Air Arm Museum in Yeovilton is an immersive, theatre-style attraction. Visitors “fly”, by helicopter, to a full-scale 1970s replica flight deck of the HMS Ark Royal, complete with deck jets, realistic sound effects, and massive projection screens showing Phantom and Buccaneer strike aircraft taking off and landing.
The museum also offers the chance to step onboard a real Concorde, walk through the cabin and peer into the cockpit. Used for flight testing between 1969 and 1976, this aircraft offers a rare view of Concorde filled with original test equipment, revealing a very different side of supersonic flight.

Dedicated to the preservation of Gloucestershire’s rich aviation heritage, Jet Age Museum is a registered charity run exclusively by volunteers. They tell the story of aviation in the county from the early days of flight, through the birth of the Jet Age to the modern aerospace industry of today. Their mission is to preserve the past and inspire the future by telling stories of the people, places, aircraft and companies that have made Gloucestershire a major centre of aviation and aerospace development for over 100 years.

South Wales Aviation Museum – Cardiff
They are the largest independent and undercover aircraft museum in Wales. Based in the heart of South Wales, a few miles from Cardiff. The one thing that’s apparent while wandering around the museum is the lack of barriers between you and the exhibits.
